WelcomeWikistats was launched in August 2011 to provide the ability for anyone on the web to store and provide crowd sourced statistics and graphs. As it is just launched functionality is limited and currently allows creating individual data series. It's totally free and all you need is a google account to login. Creating graphs on the site is done by creating either a "Data Source" or "Graph" or combination of the two. A data source provides the basic raw data which can be re-used in any number of graphs. A data source is shown as a graph, but you are not able to manipulate the data or add additional calculations. A data source may contain multiple value series of different data types. A data source can only contain data that is updated daily. As a statistical web site a data source can at most be updated daily. A Graph allows number of data sources are selected to be combined. In addition to the selected data sources, it is also possible to add mathematical expressions that combines the selected data sources into new data series (Graphs are not yet implemented). If the data sources you need to create your graph are already available on the site, then all you need to do is create a Graph. If you can't find the required data create a data source, import the data and then create a graph. Data sources and Graphs are categorised by geographic region. If you don't find a suitable region, create your data source or graph in the 'Other' region and let me know via the blog. Any new geographic regions will be added.
